Terms & Conditions

Drivers

Drivers should be aged between 25 - 70 years of age with at least 2 years experience under a full licence and no more than 1 current endorsement or 3 penalty points. Overseas drivers must have previous experience of driving on the left and be able to identify and understand road signs and markings.

Driving Licence

A full driving licence should have been held for at least 2 years and MUST be produced at time of rental. New style photo licences must be accompanied with the counterpart section. Overseas drivers must be in possession of an international drivers licence.

Rates

Prices are subject to VAT @ 17.5%. Rates are inclusive of insurance.

There is no mileage charge.

Mainland

NO CAR MAY BE TAKEN OFF THE ISLANDS OF LEWIS /HARRIS/UISTS UNLESS BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.

Payment

Debit/Credit Card details must be given at time of booking. Minimum hire is 3 days.

Extension of Rental

In most cases this is available, provided that our renting office is informed prior to expiry of the agreed rental period and the additional deposit paid, so that the Insurance Cover can be extended. Failure to do so may mean that you continue to drive without the necessary insurance cover which could lead to prosecution.

Insurance

All cars are comprehensive covered. The Renter is liable for the first £350 of any loss or damage to the vehicle. This can be reduced to £150 for a further daily fee of £2. (UK Licence holders). For non-UK licence holders the excess is £650.

Most major Credit and Debit Cards Accepted.

Availability

The booking is made on the understanding that the vehicle will be placed at your disposal on the date stated. Should this not be possible, through circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a substitute vehicle, where possible, or a refund of monies.
