All our rental vehicles are strictly NON SMOKING

All cars are comprhensive covered. The renter is liable for the first £500 of any loss or damage to the vehicle. This can be reduced to £150 for a further daily fee of £3... For non UK licence holders the excess is £650.... The hirer is also responsible for the full cost of punctures, damage to wheels, wheel trims and tyres and any lost or damaged keys.

It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is securely locked on departure and keys handed in to a pre arranged safe place.

Most major Credit and Debit cards accepted.

Driving Licence

A full drivers licence should have been held for at least 2 years and MUST be produced at time of rental. New style photo licences must be accompanied with the counterpart section. Overseas drivers must be in possession of an international drivers licence.

Drivers showing a ban on their licence cannot hire until it is removed.

Drivers

Drivers should be aged between 25 - 70 years of age with at least 2 years experience under a full licence and no more than 2 current minor endorsement or 6 penalty points. Non UK drivers licence holders must have previous experience of driving on the left hand side of the road and be able to identify and understand road signs and markings.

NO CAR MAY BE TAKEN OFF THE ISLANDS OF LEWIS & HARRIS UNLESS BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT.

Payment

Debit/Credit Card details must be given at time of booking.

Extension of Rental

In most cases this is available, provided that our renting office is informed prior to expiry of the agreed rental period and the additional cost paid, so that the Insurance cover can be extended. Failure to do this may mean that you continue to drive without the necessary Insurance cover which could lead to prosecution.

Availability

The booking is made on the understanding that the vehicle will be placed at your disposal on the date agreed. Should this not be possible, through circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a substitute vehicle, where possible, or a refund of monies.

There is no mileage charge.

Rates are inclusive of Insurance but are subject to 10% Airport Facility Charge and Value Added Tax .
